- Minimum 500 hours of dual given instructional experience (or 1 year and 250 hours dual instruction).
Preferred time
- Minimum of three years as a flight instructor to include single engine, multi engine.
- Minimum 1000 Hours PIC with 750 hours of dual instruction including 200 hours of instrument instruction.
Last flight
Recency of experience in accordance with FAR 61.57.

Additional requirements
- Experience with FAA 141 Training in Managerial, Assistant Chief or Chief roles within the last two years.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to interact with a diverse student body, along with varied customer base (current and/or prospective) while providing high level of customer service.
- Capability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication skills with fluency in English, through both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented. Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Other software programs may be required, as needed.
- Proficient in operating Flight Academy airplanes and flight trainers.
- Skilled in using classroom equipment as necessary.
- Contingent to employment, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check, along with TSA badging-if required for your role.

- Associate or bachelor's degree.
