Schedule is usually stable after release, and the atmosphere and culture in the aircraft and training department are usually good. Unfortunately, the pros stops here. Oh, and the fleet is relatively young and well maintained.
Well below market pay. You basically only receive 11 months of pay for a full time position. 15 unpaid days are distributed to each pilots each year at the managements discretion, without any possibility to have a say in where they are placed. Non functioning bidding system. Poor work/life balance. Variable roster, often max duty and minimum rest. Management by frear, divide and conquer. Managenents performance and metrics outweighs safety and passenger comfort. If you want to be appreciated or respected for being the professional you are, stay away.
Change the management with actual leaders that dont lie and cheat. Treat your employees with respect and appreciation. Put your resources to better use than to spend millions on union busting and finding loopholes in the CBA to screw your crew even more over.
Unless you have to stay and work in Scandinavia, find another employer.
Nice aircraft, great colleagues
A tiring and demanding schedule, with salaries and conditions completely out of proportion. Due to a pilot shortage, the workload is high and the atmosphere is very negative. There are few career opportunities, and management expects maximum flexibility.
tteat staff like people and work professionally
Offer livable conditions. Many pilots leave aviation for a better lifestyle.
Very good operational standard. No pressure into questionable safety situations. Freedom to make operational decitions. Fuel etc
Variable roster. Pay way below industry standard.
Not sustainable not to offer competitive pay and benefits. For new hires company not necessarily seen as a long time career, but somewhere to build experience before moving on.
Consider options carefully.
Schedule (good work-life balance) Culture and mood (crew are happy and smiling most of the time) Facilities (crew bases available h24 with good rest areas, little kitchen, massage chairs etc)
Salary could be a little bit better, but it's not on the low side
There could be a little bit more standardization
learn the language and be prepared to fit in the Scandinavian culture, otherwise many of the pros will not be perceived as they are
