Thorough knowledge of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Knowledge of standard pilot training practices and all applicable information resources.
Knowledge required to demonstrate competence in the privileges of the pilot and instructor certificates held.
Knowledge of pedagogy and instructional theory.
Knowledge of higher education stand practices.
Regularly demonstrate competence in all primary flight and instructional responsibilities including piloting, flight instruction, ground instruction, student evaluation and instructor evaluation.
Effective teaching skills.
Interpersonal communications and development skills.
Management and supervisory skills.
Organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to pass initial and recurrent tests related to Part 141 chief instructor duties.
Ability to maintain proficiency and currency on required pilot and instructor privileges.
