  • Three years as pilot-in-command in Part 121 or Part 135 operations, and prior Chief Pilot or Director of Operations experience in a Part 135 operation.
  • Type rating and currency in an aircraft on the Jet Access fleet, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, sufficient to serve as pilot-in-command and to conduct pilot evaluations and line checks.

Additional requirements

  • Prior experience leading a pilot group of twenty-five or more, with demonstrated ability to hold crew members accountable while supporting their development and retention.
  • Full working knowledge of aviation standards and safe operating practices, 14 CFR Chapter 1, the company’s Operations Specifications, maintenance and airworthiness requirements, and the manual required by 14 CFR 135.21.
  • Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the greater Indianapolis, IN area; must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening; deep alignment with Jet Access core values is non-negotiable.
  • This position is designated FAA Safety Sensitive and is subject to DOT and FAA random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience building or improving an operating system, whether dashboards, standards, playbooks, or leadership structure, rather than only operating an existing one.
  • Experience developing subordinate leaders into independent decision-makers, and comfort working from operational data and trends rather than anecdote.
  • Experience with ARGUS, Wyvern, or IS-BAO audit preparation and compliance within a Part 135 environment.
  • Familiarity with Avianis, ForeFlight Dispatch, Web Manuals, or comparable scheduling, dispatch, and manual management platforms.
  • Multi-type ratings or experience across a varied fleet, and exposure to EOS or a similar structured management framework in a prior leadership role.

Compensation and benefits

Relocation Assistance

Summary

  • Base salary of $175,000.00 – $225,000.00 (annualized), depending on experience, paid bi-weekly.
  • This position is classified as FLSA Exempt.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates relocating to the greater Indianapolis, IN area.
