Older aircraft with the issues that come with that, engineering tries to stay on top of things but multiple MEL items carried until the limit of the prescribed period. challenging destinations as small and medium sized cities, the niche market of this operation are often served by difficult destinations, so as Captain a lot is expected of you with 6 /2 roster and variable at that so hard , challenging work without the necessary money it should attract followed by inability to plan commuting or down time.
increase salaries, increase benefits , provide crew food, provide leave , provide a fixed roster, not only in some bases on a trial basis & structure the salary in a better way, pay the contracted scheduled hours as specified in the contract and not average block hours which causes a penalty to the employee.
get a command or get hours and get out unless a specific base they operate from is available to you then it is tolerable.
