1. Large fleet with new A320F and 787s arriving 2. Able to apply with 200hrs TT 3. Great career progession - start NB A320F, move to 787 then back to A320 as Captain and finish on 787. 4.NB fleet- 7 days off 5 months of the year, 6 days off the rest of the time. 5. Great training - challenging but well taught. Safety is a top priority. 6. 98% of Captains are great to fly with. 7. Food, transport and uniform provided. 8. Travel benefits with a mix of confirmed and standby tickets. 9. PBS system - get around 50% of what you ask for, this improves with seniority. 10. Good pay package for Chile 11. Biggest Airline in the Americas outside of the US. 12. Good standard of Hotels for layovers. 13. Great destinations 14. Solid management with a forward looking mindset 15. Good roster usually 15 -18 days on (including standby) 15-12 days off every month. 16. Great maintenance - will sometimes fly with MELs but that is what they are there for. 17. Great Airline for a long term career with clear progression - upgrades can range from 6-12 years depending on market conditions. Currently taking around 7 years. 18. You can stay in NB if you wish - don't have to go to WB.
1. Kick start your sequence with a red-eye - this improves with seniority. 2. First years as an FO the pay is average if you don't get more than 70 hrs - this improves in year 4. 3. Limited long haul routes from Santiago once you transition to 787. 4. Culture of reporting on each other not great (this is mostly Cabin Crew who use it to climb the ranks, doesn't affect pilots so much apart from dealing with drama). 5. 15 days vacation (legal requirement in Chile) would be nice to have 20 as a starting point. 6. Replacing your uniform can take a long time.
Keep up the good work, proud to be a part of a fast growing company that leads the market in Latin America. Looking forward to some new long haul routes.
Best Airline in Latin America, excellent for a long term career. As an FO always be learning and make sure you get on well with the Captain. You can use the Airline to move to another major if that is what you wish to do.
OK salary for the country, but nothing outstanding comparing with the rest of the world, specially for Captains. Life is expensive in Chile. 6 days off in a row a month guaranteed in the short haul fleet. Good quality of life in the LH fleet.
Very high workload, in the short haul fleet and tough schedule. 4 leg redeyes are standard. Maintainance needs to improve dramatically, expect lots of MEL's. Corruption in management.
Value you pilots, dont bite the hands that feeds you.
Good company in general terms, clear carreer path and the chance of flying short and long haul.
Easy to upgrade, easy simulator sessions, no questions asked, just go fly and wait until you upgrade.
Toxic working culture, poor salary, big workload, many night round trips, tight schedule, poor management. Poor maintenance and expect tons of MEL.
Improve salaries and improve conditions.
Fly as much as you can, upgrade and leave.
Opportunity to develop an initial career in short term
Poor salary and high load work
no good work environments
