Pros

You won't fly a better maintained fleet in the world. I've serveral carriers in the States and a couple of flag carriers overseas. Over 5 years, I never had more than a minor cabin write up. The commuting is not counted from your days off. You get three commuting days in addition to the 11 days at home. Where KE flies, you can claim as a base....142 countries served. Business class 95% of the time, but not guaranteed on one's commute. They recently increased the monthly salary to nearly 15,000 USD for the first contract. Overtime starts at 75 hours. In base, you stay at the Grand Hyatt Incheon for free-- storage is provided and in hotel restaurants significant discounts. The contract is for 5 years and is renewable until age 65. Last but not least, the cadre of foreign pilots are top notch guys that great to work with and fun to be around.

Cons

No housing allowance, but premium in base hotel is free. Rarely see overtime opportunity. They keep it tight to 75 hours. Must be very respectful of the culture and always aware of it at all times. Although in negotiations, bonuses, for now, are rare. No upgrade nor fleet transitions. It has happened, as exceptions, but there is no system to upgrade nor are fleet transitions provided for. Future hiring of F/O's may occur, but not planned. Some long, trusted captains have managed to transition to other fleet types, but is rare.

Allow some bonus incentives along with overtime availability.
