None worth mentioning
Work-Life Balance: Extremely poor; pilots and crew often report no personal time due to constant duty changes and extended rosters. Job Security: Employees feel insecure due to arbitrary management decisions and lack of transparent policies. Scheduling Abuse: Frequent last-minute duty changes with minimal notice, leading to exhaustion and stress. Management Style: Authoritarian and unsupportive; managers are described as unapproachable and dismissive of employee concerns. Communication Breakdown: No proper grievance redressal system; emails go unanswered, and pilots are expected to be available 24/7. Pay & Benefits: Salaries are at the minimum industry level, allowances are negligible, and benefits are far below international airline standards. Layover Conditions: Hotels downgraded to substandard categories, with poor food and facilities, reflecting disregard for crew welfare. Operational Pressure: On-Time Performance (OTP) is prioritized over safety, creating a dangerous operational culture. Toxic Culture: Employees from different departments frequently argue and fight, creating a hostile work environment. Favoritism & Bias: Promotions, fleet assignments, and upgrades often depend on favoritism rather than transparent criteria. Health & Safety Neglect: Substandard inflight meals, poor hygiene, and lack of concern for pilot health. Roster Fatigue: Pilots consistently fly maximum duty hours with minimum rest, leading to chronic fatigue and burnout. No Employee Voice: Staff feedback is ignored; management decisions are unilateral and punitive. International Comparison: Similar to other “worst airlines” globally, IndiGo shows patterns of underpaying staff, overworking crew, ignoring welfare, and fostering toxic management practices.
Respect pilot welfare, improve salaries and allowances, provide hygienic food, upgrade layover hotels, and stop prioritizing OTP over safety. Create a culture of respect and accountability instead of penalisation.
Be prepared for extremely poor working conditions, lack of welfare, and a negative culture. If pilot well-being and safety matter to you, reconsider before joining.
No pros
They just had a huge mess where they had to cancel like 5000 flights in a week. Instead of owning up to it, management blamed a pilot strike, but really, there aren't enough pilots because no one wants to stick around. It's an airline where you can rack up flight hours like crazy, but it'll mess with your health because management plays fast and loose with flight duty rules. It's a super harsh culture, and the pay is less than what other airlines offer.
Accept your blunder and own up to it
Air india is better for starting your career
There are no pros .
Highly fatigued crew Regulator under airline control Expat CEO and COO ruining the culture along with senior management pilots. Greedy company, zero value towards employees Worst working conditions and toxic workplace Penalizes crew for reporting fatigue Always finding loopholes and misinterpreting FDTL norms. No matter the seniority and loyalty, you’re just a number here. Almost Two decades old salary structure, allowances and worsening policies Zero work life balance, roster can be changed at a whim.
Worst airline on the face of the planet. Change your way of treating your employees.
Don’t look here for any jobs.

GOOS STAFF TRAVEL BUT DUE ROSTERING MAL PRACTICES OF PUTTING CREW ON DEPANDABILITY UNABLE TO USE ANY BENEFIT. ITS DEFINATELY A GOOD AIRLINE START WITH BUT NOT AN AIRLINE YOU CAN RETIRE WITH.THERE IS NOTHING GOOD LEFT SINCE 2019 ONWARDS,ALL CONS SADLY
TOXIC WORK CULTURE,ANTI PILOT POLICY,AFTER 2019 ITS BEEN JUST DOWN TREND WITH RESPECT TO PAY OR NOT A SINGLE PILOTS FAVOURABLE POLICY.FATIGUED PILOTS,REDUCED PAY,REDUCED SALARY.UNLESS DONT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION THIS SHOULD BE THE LAST AIRLINE TO CONSIDERED.
DONT BE PENNY WISE AND POUND FOOLISH,PILOTS ARE GREATEST ASSET.IF WE CANNOT FIND A SINGLE HAPPY PILOT IN YOUR COMPANY YOU FAILED AS A MANAGEMENT.MATTER OF TIME UNTIL THIS SHOWS UP IN YOUR BALANCE SHEET.

Good airline to start your career. Building hours & getting upgrades is quick here.
PAY & Benefits aren’t nice. Airline being run by HR only! FLT OPS has been given backseat. No one really bothers about your inputs regarding well being of pilots. Roster stability isn’t looked after(even one standby can screw you over for a whole week). One way street in regards to decisions being taken.
Show some gratitude to AIRLINE PILOTS. Ground level interaction with line pilots will show you correct scenario, PILOTS are not respected in this airline. Stop with appeasement, have some spine and stand for your pilots. STOP RUNNING THE AIRLINE LIKE A SCHOOL.
Build hours, get ATPL & LEAVE. Be the Go in IndiGo.
Rapid Expansion! Growth Opportunities
Excessive employees, lack of a genuine personal attachment.
Keep going!
Excellent Place to Kick start your aviation career.
You get to travel all across India as pilot flying to lot new destinations and airfield which keeps things exciting. A extremely fast career progression from first officer to a captain which opens a lot opportunities for switching to international career. New aircraft’s with less defects. Good safety and standard culture for reporting. At least the company won’t shutdown for years to come as making money it’s one its objective. With help of staff travel and my id travel you could travel across the world with some hassle.
With all said in the pros if money coming in via salary on a standard contract (40% of middleast carriers) you won’t have time and energy to travel as work schedule is extremely hectic and fatiguing and you won’t have leaves to travel. Eventually you would start sticking to your bed on off days as burnout is real. If you take relax contract with reduce pays and more leaves( commuting contract) you won’t have money to travel even though you have time and health on your side. Lot of policies change which keeps cutting privileges and upgrades could become unattainable and cancellations of Staff travel suspension as a punitive policy. Even a minute of a delay will require an explanation. Lots of pressure to rush and to depart on time which could be dangerous at times. Salary, allowances and Bonuses aren’t that great still stuck 10years behind the actual market. Cost cutting at every level as food being served to crew is bad and could even have serious health issues in long run and long duty periods with 12-14hrs without eating good food nevertheless is not recommended.
Improve the salaries and increase workforce as employees are underpaid and overworked. Improve the Rostering.
If you are starting your career, great place to be in.
Very professional company
No commuting roster
increase professional development opportunities for foreign pilots
Very professional company, you could have a nice Pilot future in this Company
Maintenance of aircraft are good Well organised
No work life balance No care about employee Pay is shitty no salary increments from so many years
Take care of your employees
if you want only upgrades with no family and money u can join this airline
Upgrade opportunity
To maintain the upgrade
Focus on retention and work life balance
Necessary evil, Get out first opportunity
Organised airline with good leave policies
Horrible flying, no life
Improve pay and rosters
Be careful you’ll get burnt out
Fast transition from first officer to Captain
Company really don’t care about you. Minimum rest is the norm. No respect for pilots. Treated as 3rd class citizens. None of the suggestions or complaints from the crew are really looked into. Cost cutting at its peak. Safety can go for a toss is OTP needs to be maintained.
Really start caring about your pilots, there will come a day when you will realise the importance of pilots. Management pilots need to grow a spine and stand for the pilots as a community rather than trying to suck up to their bosses.
Please don’t look to join this airline. If health and mental well being is your last priority then Indigo is the airline for you
Highly professional compared to other Indian carriers. Plenty of growth opportunities. Innovation approach to problem solving. Accepting of feedback.
Very hectic schedules. Inhumane work timings and durations. Extreme penny pinching visible at every level.
Offer better contracts. Reduce fatigue across the workforce.
Great place to start your career with but don’t stay too long as it might affect your health in the long run.
Quick upgrades from First Officer to Captain and from Captain to trainer. Flies to almost every destination in India and easy staff travel. Most of the things are given in black and white. Spoon feeds to a great extent. You'll fly a very young fleet of aircraft.
1. Your existence in this company will be on minimum rest. 2. Your offs are considered your rest days. 3. They will bring you back home at 11 pm before your offs and put you for a 3 am reporting the day after your off. 4. Bad food, bad layover hotels and a general trend of cost-cutting at every corner. 5. There is an absolute divide between all departments with no respect for pilots. 6. I'd probably be medically unfit or dead in 10 years if I kept working with them without rest and sleep
Stop exploiting people. Day in and day out you bombard us with emails on safety, while no one seems to actually care about it. Don't treat employees as use and throw material.
Join if you are a First Officer and want to be a Captain. This is what this airline does best, cause everyone keeps quitting on them.
