Pros

Good spirit with colleagues, dynamic motivated colleagues, A320 fleet in good shape mostly, good EFB, usually 2 sectors per day

Cons

Pay is low, roster on A320 is dense with usually 10 off days, off day requests are ignored mostly and no block of 4 days off guaranteed a month, A330 fleet needs renewal, no transparency in change of base, fleet or upgrades, company refuses to use seniority for anything

Advice to management

Look across to how business is done across the pond. The FAA majors have understood it and other airlines are following. People leave when they're not happy

Advice to future employees

Plenty of potential but only time will tell in which direction it will develop

Pros

Colleagues are very nice, lots of friendly and professional Pilots, especially Training Captain side. Small number of very nice layovers, with nice hotels. Friendly office atmosphere, open office, everyone communicates respectfully

Cons

Unstable schedules, with many changes, roster usually released 3 days before the months end. No planning stability. Vacation days usually rejected at first then put on hold, permanent excuse (due to capacity planning), part time only very limited and only for those who have several kids still in school, off requests limited. No food provided for crew on flights, you will be flying accross the pond at 2am hoping that a business class passenger is not eating and that the cabin crew likes you enough to give a share to you. Absolute tedious recruitment process with Interpersonal, borderline disrespectful, especially for experienced CPs, a very nice and motivated CEO was forced to step down to make way for a more LH Group friendly CEO with no charisma.

Advice to management

Take care of your Crew, scheduling and vacation planning have to be massively improved. Give your crew something to eat. Even Low Cost Companies provide crew food. Understand that many of your staff are commuters, don't give them attitude about their choice of not living 2 minutes away from homebase.

Advice to future employees

If you are new and want to find a way into the LH Group, considers 4Y, otherwise Condor has way better terms and conditions with an almost copy paste like destination and aircraft network.
