-Colleagues -culture -friendly environment -most of the layovers although they become quite repetitive after a while. -planes well maintained although they’re showing their age. -instant upgrade to cpt as soon as possible -never had the feeling of being ‘just a number’ to the company -I’ve got faith in the new management
-roster -cpt’s salary -not enough cpts -too many transfers among the bases in order to start or end a shift due to lack of staff in such bases. -unpredictable rosters for the following month, difficult to organize private life
Hire more cpts and keep the ones who are still here by raising their salaries. This will lead to better work life balance. Or reduce the number of routes.
If you’re an FO it’s a very good company, excellent training program and good but unpredictable roster with good salary. If you’re a captain you’re going to have a 4-2 kind of roster due to the lack of cpts with a below average salary in Europe but this situation is expected to improve
Training department is great, the TR is backed by the company with a 2 year bond, Italian contract
Lack of proper roster planning, decisions made one day for the other, poor consideration of employees, rosters are still done BY HAND with no clear method.
Try to keep the resources you have, the climate is quite tense and the distance between management and employees feels bigger each day. Many would like to stay but see no prospect beyond 2 or 3 years in the company.
Good place to start. Definitely a solid company. Good starting conditions and good training department will make you feel welcomed. Unfortunately within a year or two you’ll see the cracks and you’ll have to make your own choices.
