- FAA Flight Instructor Certificate – Airplane Multiengine is preferred.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multiengine Land is preferred.
- Proficiency in the Cessna 172 or other high-wing, fixed tricycle-gear training aircraft.
- Proficiency in the Piper Seminole or other twin-engine training aircraft (MEI only).
