- 1500 total multi-crew flying hours on jet engine aircraft with MTOW > 20T. Candidates with less than 1500 but more than 700 hours on these aircraft may be shortlisted based on merit, and may be put through a longer training programme if successful.

- Candidates’ previous flying experience may be considered for command upgrade.
