Must hold the airman certificate and ratings, except medical certificate, required to serve as a pilot in command in 14 CFR Part 121 operations.
Must have served at least 1 year as a pilot in command or 2nd in command of a turbo prop aircraft.
Flight instructors who have reached their 65th birthday or who do not hold an appropriate medical certificate may function as flight instructors but may not serve as flight crew members in operations under this part.
Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.

The Ravn Alaska Simulator Instructor is a person who is qualified to instruct, but only in an FFS, in a flight training device, or both, for a Dash-8. The Simulator Instructor must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be confident in their ability to deliver effective employee training to crew members while maintaining high-quality standards. This will require strong communication skills, being a team player, and a safety-oriented mindset.
