Additional requirements

Five (5) years of relevant aviation operations experience of which at least two (2) years should be from the aeronautical industry in a management position responsible for oversight of air crew
Must be able to obtain / maintain a type certificate in B300 or Challenger 600 series.
Must have a current Passport
Possess a valid driver’s license
Possess excellent understanding of Federal Aviation Regulation, International Civil Aviation Organization to ensure aircrews operate in accordance with those directives
Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and any associated requirements and procedures
Familiarity with Aviation Management Systems
Management experience, preferably in a comparable organization
Employee must be able to hold and maintain a Secret (or higher) Clearance Level.

Job description

The Head of Flight Operations is responsible to the Accountable Manager (AM) for the delivery of safe, compliant and effective flight operations to meet the requirements of Metrea’s Manned Airborne ISR programs in accordance with applicable civil aviation regulations and Metrea operating procedures. This role is also responsible for ensuring close coordination between the various organizations within the Metrea Enterprise to ensure that the business meets internal and external requirements.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager. Although primarily CONUS-based, this position will require periodic travel to forward deployed locations in support of company oversight to OCONUS programs. Travel requirements are 25%.
