Must successfully complete required Instructor Training in Company Training manual.
Experience working in the aviation industry.
Prior experience as a Flight or Ground Instructor.
Current and qualified in aircraft if teaching aircraft systems.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Keystone Aviations GOM, Ops Specs, and Standard Operating Procedures, and FARs 135, 91 and 61.
Extensive understanding of the Training Manual.
Extensive understanding of FAR 135 requirements.
Strong technical abilities including competence with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
Strong understanding of aviation and the training environment.
Strong understanding of staffing and training requirements.
Preferred
Operational experience in a 14CFR Part 121 or 135 air carrier, or Military Aviation experience
Two years of experience in a management role as a Director of Training, Director of Operations, or other 14CFR Part 119 position or military equivalent
Experience working with training programs such as eLearning and Scott IPT
Bachelors degree in aviation or a related field of study or 4 years of equivalent aviation experience
Job description
Instruct Pilots and Flight Attendants in the subject areas required by FAA 135/91 regulations
Develop Power Point training slides for all modules as outlined in the 135 Training Program
Oversee Flight Ops curriculum development and delivery, to include updating and revising course material
Assist with training documentation and compliance
Track and oversee scheduling of all required training
Provide a monthly audit of upcoming training events to Program Managers and Chief pilot
Ensure Training Manual Compliance
Ensure Compliance with FAR 135 requirements
Instruct pilots and other company employees in the subject areas assigned by the Chief Pilot
Assist with preparing for FAA, Argus, Wyvern, EJM and A031 Training Center audits.
Advise and assist in writing/updating company manuals to include the GOM, Training Manual, SOPs, etc.
Review Instructor and Check Airman Qualifications for training vendors
Serves as an ASAP board member representative
Research projects when assigned
Any other assignment or projects as requested by supervising manager
