Additional requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Ten (10) years experience in the aviation industry (including military, government and/or regulatory Part 121/135 experience)
- Ten (10) years leadership experience with the demonstrated ability to lead a large diverse workgroup
- Ability to operate and maintain line currency in a JetBlue Airways aircraft type
- Extensive knowledge of flight operations, flight standards and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Available for moderate overnight travel (30%)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to develop and communicate a strategic vision
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to manage a large budget
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Preferred
- Bachelors degree in Business, Aviation Management, Human Resources or relevant field
- Experience working with the FAA
- Experience in labor union contract negotiation
- Ten (10) years of leadership experience for a Part 121 carrier
- Domestic and International Operating Experience
