Job description

The Rockhampton Aero Club, a leading Central Queensland Flying School, is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified pilots for the position of Head of Operations. (Immediate Start Available). This is due to the incumbent CFI having to return to Victoria for personal reasons.

Rockhampton has a population of approximately 85,000 and boasts excellent educational facilities with several state and privately run primary and secondary schools and a large university. The city is also well known for the excellent world class sporting facilities it provides and is a short drive from the Capricorn Coast and access to the Great Barrier Reef offering beaches, sailing, swimming, and fishing. There are also rainforests for the walking and camping enthusiasts and plenty of scope for 4WD enthusiasts as well. The city is also a service hub for the cattle and mining industries.

The flying school, which was established in 1930, operates as a single engine Part 141 training organisation operating C150 and two C172s.

The successful applicant will be responsible for closely managing all operations and for further developing the flying training already in place.
