Additional requirements
- Must meet the minimum qualifications of 14 CFR Part 119.67
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Must possess a working knowledge of FAA policy and guidance documents
- Ability to travel extensively and conduct oversight activities
- Ability to be available to work or be on call beyond normal office hours
- Must have demonstrated leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Must not have any FAA violations, suspensions or any criminal history
- Must possess a valid Passport and the ability to travel unrestricted
- High School Diploma
Preferred
- Previous experience as Chief Pilot or related air carrier management experience
- Relatively recent experience with the Air Carrier initial certification under the FAAs SAS oversight system
- Previous air carrier experience as aircraft and/or simulator instructor and check airman
- Knowledge and experience with CRM, risk management, Safety Management Systems (14 CFR Part 5), and development of standard operating procedures
- Possession of a type rating in SAAB 2000
- Undergraduate degree
