The primary duty of the Chief Pilot is to hire, train and terminate pilots. In addition, the Chief Pilot will perform duties of Charter Pilots as needed. The Chief Pilot will also act as Pilot in Command of both Part 91 and Part 135 flights throughout North America. This position requires overnight travel, weekend and holiday work availability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pilatus PC-12/PC-24 Captain flying both part 91 and 135 flights
- Inspect aircraft for defects and malfunctions per pre-flight checklists
- Maintain a high level of customer service by responding quickly to customer requests
- Conduct initial and recurrent ground and flight training
- Conduct FAR 135,293, 297, and 299 check rides
- Prepare and maintain training records for all pilots
- Assist in formulating operations policies
- Responsible for crew member standardization
- Variable schedule requires some weekend and overnight work
