Off the Chain Capitals Captain is the pilot in charge of all Part 91 operations as expected in the aviation industry as well as corporate executive security detail. The Captain is in charge of aircraft operations, managing flight crew, managing and maintaining aircraft, scheduling travel and overnight hangar, load and unload aircraft luggage, and manage security detail for company executives traveling.

Responsibilities - Safely operate company aircraft as pilot in command (PIC).

Manage aircraft logbooks and required maintenance.

Be available on-call for travel overnight as required for company travel needs.

Ensure pre-flight inspections are performed and the aircraft is prepared for flight.

Study weather conditions at destination, en-route, at alternate airports and departure points.

Prepare flight plans.

Review and calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts.

Make the decision to start, delay or cancel flights or deviate from planned route or destination when necessary.

Accompany key management for all transportation needs including ground transportation.

Manage security detail for company staff while traveling.

Convey an executive-level image when dealing with business associates, officials and customers.
