This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Bachelor’s degree
Strong understanding of maritime patrol mission systems, including recent software and hardware updates.
Ability to analyze complex systems, solve problems, and develop actionable recommendations.
Experience with engineering software tools and/or systems integration testing preferred.
Position will require occasional travel.
You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
You possess professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job description
We have an opportunity for a highly skilled, former P-8A or EP-3 Naval Flight Officer (NFO) to provide subject matter expertise in support of NAVAIR’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office, PMA-290. This position will be based at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
As an NFO supporting the Increment 3 (Inc3) program, you will:
Advise PMA-290 leadership on the integration and testing of Inc3 combat systems—including mission systems, sensors, environmental systems, and mission planning tools.
Apply expert knowledge of current Inc3 capabilities, including Minotaur mission software.
Operate P-8A Inc3 systems in lab environments to support system integration and testing goals.
Analyze and report on combat system performance, providing written and verbal briefings as needed.
Recommend improvements to enhance P-8A Inc3 performance across key mission areas: ASW, ASuW, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) support, and ISR.
Support the development and delivery of training materials, potentially including instruction for Integrated Test Teams (ITT).

Summary
The estimated salary range for this position will be $120,000 - $145,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
