Additional requirements

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate.
Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong understanding of aircraft systems, mechanics, and avionics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with flight crews and maintenance personnel.
Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job description

In this dual-role position, you will use your expertise both in piloting aircraft and in aircraft maintenance. As an ideal candidate, you possess exceptional flying skills along with comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and avionics. In this role you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation in support of Smith Douglas Homes.

Your responsibilities will include weather briefings, fuel planning, filing of flight plans, transportation logistics and ensuring the safety of all passengers, crew and cargo.

You’ll be in a role that is critical to Smith Douglas Homes as you help to ensure efficient utilization of the existing fleet to enhance transportation of key decision makers to conduct critical company business.
