Additional requirements
Position requires a high level of education and skill to operate complex equipment in a dynamic environment with many factors that must be constantly evaluated. A high level of operational experience is necessary both for safety and insurance requirements. Decisions affect safety and security of personnel and company assets.
High school diploma
Available for occasional operations outside of normal business hours (12 to 14-hour duty day), on nights, and weekends.
Knowledgeable about all FAA regulations pertinent to Authority aircraft operations, and of Flight Department policies and procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and other flight crew.
As a problem solver, ability to use experience and training to facilitate travel of company personnel under changing conditions. As Pilot in Command, capable of providing clear, concise instructions and guidance to passengers and crew members during normal and emergency operations.
Preferred
A minimum of two years of college or equivalent technical experience.

Summary
The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is $95,440.00 - $131,230.00. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
