Additional requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technical required; Masters Degree preferred
Minimum five (5) years of related experience
Graduate of a qualified Test Pilot School (e.g., the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, EPNER Test Pilot School, etc.) preferred
The successful applicant must possess at least three (3) years of Test Project Officer experience in military fixed wing test and evaluation
Previous qualification as a Military Aviator/Test Pilot required
Must be able to maintain a FAA Class II medical certificate
Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills
Individual must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of survival and aviation physiology training
Secret Security clearance preferred
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Job description

As part of the worlds largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and Commercial Agencies, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Test Pilot support at Patuxent River, MD. As a long-term incumbent and leader in test pilot expertise, the selected applicant will work within the VX-23 environment composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) for the VX-23 Patuxent River, MD

The selected candidate will serve as a F-18 project officer/pilot

The individual will provide all aspects of project officer duties and test flying for F-18/EA-18G projects
