- Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings and be qualified to serve as Pilot-in-Command.
- Have at least 3 years experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of a large aircraft operated under Part 121 or Part 135.
- In the case of a person with previous experience as Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot, have at least 3 years experience as pilot in command of a large aircraft operated under Part 121 or Part 135.
- Previous FAA Part 121/135 operational experience mandatory.
