Minimum requirements
- Flight time is not specified by the employer. Minimum 1500 hours is indicated due to mandatory ATP requirements for this position; actual time required may vary.
Additional requirements
- Must possess High School Diploma/GED
- Must have minimum of three years of supervisory or managerial experience within the most recent six years in a position that exercised operational control of over any operations conducted large airplanes under 14 CFR part 135.
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices, applicable regulatory requirements, Ravn Connect Operations Specifications, and Executive Express Aviation LLC d/b/a Ravn Connect manuals through training, experience, and/or expertise.
- Must have experience in the conduct and management of systems safety programs.
- Must be capable to perform the duties of this position full-time.
- Must have familiarity with the types of aircraft operated by Executive Express Aviation LLC d/b/a Ravn Connect.
- Must have familiarization and training in safety management, including policy and attributes, hazard identification, risk analysis and mitigation, safety assurance and corrective action, and safety promotion.
- Must be qualified through training, experience, and expertise.
- Must understand applicable operations, maintenance, and Operations Specifications.
- Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS); knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation is highly desired.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check including requirements of TSA and FAA as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
Preferred
- College/university education is preferred.
Job description
The Ravn Connect Director of Operations has operational control of all Part 135 Company flight operations, activities, and management of Company Operations Specifications. The Director of Operations ensures that flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Operations Specifications authorizations, and Company standards.
