We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to fulfil the duties of the HOFO role. Your collaborative working style will be coupled with your strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have excellent attention to detail, great problem solving/decision making skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred
Previous HOFO experience or operational experience in air transport operations similar to those conducted by Spirit Aviation would be highly regarded, as would prior experience leading and managing a team.
Job description
The Head of Flight Operations (HOFO) is responsible for safely managing the flying operations for Outback Spirit (Spirit Aviation Pty Ltd) which operates one Cessna Grand Caravan 208, one Cessna 210 and leased assets from time to time. This position is responsible for the control of all flight crew training and operational matters affecting the flying operations, and the duties of the HOFO pursuant to aviation legislative requirements. This position is based in Darwin, NT and is primarily a management position within the operation.

The expectation is that approx. 80% of your time will be spent managing the regulatory and Company requirements of the operation with an approx. 20% flying commitment.
