Preferred

  • Preferably a 787 rated pilot
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Knowledge of MEL, QRH and OEM documentation
  • Preferably experience of working in a technical pilot role
  • Previous management or airline start up experience will be appreciated
  • Previous experience of working with manuals and a regulator will be appreciated
  • Ability to manage workload and work in a high-pressure environment

Job description

Chief Pilot is an integral part of the Flight Operations team. This is an important position in the Flight Operations department and will be integral to building up the teams capabilities as we move through Norse's start-up phase ready for take-off in 2022. Joining Norse at this early phase means you will be heavily involved in the shaping of the Companys operational capabilities. As Norse grows and evolves, you can expect to have the opportunity to get involved in different tasks, including more responsibility and promotion opportunities, within the Flight Operations team.

Take ownership for the success and delivery of all responsibilities and duties associated with the role

Create an atmosphere where people are respected, valued, and feel they belong and are supported

Responsible for all technical aspects associated with the fleet including QRH, Boeing manuals, bulletins, MEL, and Airworthiness Directives

Interface between flight operations and the technical department

Responsible for updating OMC and route briefings

Interface between SOP group and OMB

Responsible for updating OMB

Management of line check process

Ensure that all pilot training requirements are catered for by the training team

Manage the EIS of new aircraft and technical acceptance flights

The role will involve some flying

Additional duties & responsibilities as instructed by the NPFO
