University graduate/College degree, preferably with an aviation or business-related degree, or Demonstrable management experience in a check and training capacity in the aviation industry
In-depth understanding and appreciation of the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority regulations and safe, compliant operating practices as documented in the company’s aviation manual(s) and SOPs to ensure compliance with her/his responsibilities.
Thorough knowledge of operational and financial aspects of aircraft operations
Minimum of 2 experience in a Flight Operations or Training and Checking management role, of a large air transport category operation (CAR -Part 121).
The ability to obtain an airport security clearance (AVSEC/AVSIC and AIAL or relevant airport authority).
