Additional requirements

  • ATPL or a CPL with all ATPL Theory credits (Not required to be current)
  • An instructor rating with a grade 1 or 2 training endorsement (Not required to be current)
  • A Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (Not required to be current)
  • A Diploma Qualification in an aviation discipline (preferably AVI50219 Diploma of Aviation Commercial Pilots Licence or equivalent)
  • CERT IV In training and assessment or higher qualification in education or training
  • A high level of proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Applied experience in creating material for LMSs.
  • The ability to efficiently write, edit and review electronic documents, presentations, and training materials
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A tenacious work ethic and high professional standard
  • Professional behaviour and presentation.
  • Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver programs and projects on time under minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to research, build, implement and write aviation training packages.
  • A strong applied knowledge of adult learning principals.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and empathetic college atmosphere for the student body.
  • Ability to interact positively with international students.
  • Ability to present college syllabus subjects in a classroom environment
  • A collaborative approach and can-do attitude
  • You must currently hold the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.

Preferred

  • Significant, current experience in teaching and administrating aviation theory courses
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Experience in teaching or writing a multi-crew cooperation course
  • Experience in the management and development of online training resources.
  • Charter and Multi crew operations experience airline operating experience
  • Create course content and manuals suitable for inclusion in aa 737 MCC course.
  • Establish and manage a MCC & JOT syllabus and program based on B737
  • Oversight of the student body in ground school and MCC program activities
  • B737 FTD Instructor CASA or equivalent qualification
  • Familiar with the Moodle LMS system including the setup of courses, quizzes and badging

Job description

Manage and develop ground training programs

Develop and maintain teaching resources

Develop content for delivery via LMSs

Conducting ground theory training and briefings within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFCs syllabus

Will be required to deliver a portion of ground theory

Manage/Review/Develop training material as directed by the HOO

Maintaining electronic training files and all administrative tasks associated with ground instruction

Responsible for the supervising and managing appointed theory instructors

Act as the student liaison for all theory and theory progression matters

Should you hold a current licence, medical and training endorsement you may also be required to conduct flight training within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFCs syllabus, this would be secondary to your ground role and at the discretion of the Head of Operations
