Minimum requirements
- 2D and 3D endorsements
- Experience in a multi-crew operation or successful completion of a multi-crew cooperation course
- 200 hours in command of a multi engine aircraft (excluding PICUS); or 200 hours in command of a turbine powered fixed wing aircraft; or 200 hours on aircraft certified for operation by a crew of two pilots (multi-crew aircraft).
Additional requirements
- A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas Freight ports of call with at least 12 months validity
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
- The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Australian permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Australia
Job description
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for First Officer positions on our narrow-body fleet. While base locations are yet to be determined, this is an exciting opportunity to join a key division of the Qantas Group. Work conditions
As a First Officer with Qantas Freight, you’ll experience mainly night operations, with a roster that consists of less flying hours than in most passenger airlines. Our domestic rosters have traditionally focused on weekday shifts, providing a routine that many pilots appreciate. However, with the addition of the Tasman triangle routes to the A321 fleet, there will now be some weekend flying included in the domestic rosters, offering a bit more variety to your schedule.
