Bachelor degree in Aeronautics/Management or equivalent from a recognized university is an advantage.
Comprehensive knowledge in IATA/ ECAA/Airbus and Regulatory Bodies’ rules and regulations pertaining to Flight Operations working procedures and operating standards.
Exposure to Quality Assurance, Safety, and Security audit procedures and practices affecting Flight Operations.
12+ years of experience in Airlines industry
Experienced in designing and implementing policies, procedures, manuals in line with standards and regulations.
Hands on forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring performance KPIs of business initiatives in aviation.
Employs technical expertise and interpersonal relations to support company’s objectives.
Have at least 3 years supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted with large aircraft under this Part or equivalent, or if the certificate holder uses only small aircraft in its operations, the experience may be obtained in large or small aircraft
In the case of a person becoming a Director of Operations: (i) For the first time ever, have at least 3 years of experience, within the past 6 years, as pilot in command of a large aircraft operated under this Part or equivalent, if the certificate holder operates large aircraft. If the certificate holder uses only small aircraft in its operation, the experience may be obtained in either large or small aircraft; and (ii) In the case of a person with previous experience as a Director of Operations, have at least 3 years of experience as pilot in command of a large aircraft operated under this Part or equivalent, if the certificate holder operates large aircraft. If the certificate holder uses only small aircraft in its operation, the experience may be obtained in either large or small aircraft.
Preferred
Experience in low cost airline is preferred
Professional membership of associations related to the Aviation/Airlines industry is a plus.
