Additional requirements

Demonstrate Up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements.
Be able and willing to mentor and perform training at the highest safety standard
Strong Interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
Demonstrate competency in regulatory requirements for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial and CFI certifications.
Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology’s teaching discipline. Verifiable professional experience may be accepted in lieu of other requirements as approved by the Vice Chancellor who oversees academic programs, or his/her designee.
A criminal history background check will be required for the finalist(s) under consideration for this position.

Preferred

Demonstrate a high level of Aeronautical Decision Making skills.
Demonstrate competency in Aircraft systems and aeronautical knowledge.
141 experience or demonstrated competency in 141 operations.
Bachelor’s degree in a closely related teaching discipline

Compensation and benefits

Summary

The starting pay rate for CFI candidates is $35.50 per hour. This is anticipated to be 30 hours per week with full-time benefits.
