Flight time notes
- Must have military flight experience to include a minimum of 1,500 total hours of pilot-in-command or first pilot flight time in two turbine fixed-wing aircraft, one of which must be multi-engine.
- Experience as a flight instructor required.

- Experience as a flight instructor in high performance, ejection seat equipped, jet aircraft desired.
- Flight test experience desired.
- Formation experience desired.

Additional requirements
- Successful completion of a standard professional curriculum in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelors degree is required. Major study in an appropriate field of engineering (not engineering technology), physical science, life science, or mathematics is desired. An advanced degree is desired but not required.
- FAA First Class Medical or military equivalent required.
- Simultaneous qualifications in multiple aircraft desired.
- Must be able to deploy, both domestically and internationally, for up to 45 continuous days
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
- This position is subject to NPR7900.3D (paragraph 3.7.4) No NASA aircraft may use the services of any person as a pilot on an airplane engaged in NASA operations if that person has reached the first day of the month of his or her 65th birthday.
Preferred
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate preferred.
- Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract desired.
- Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).
